Here we have a very pretty little 3" Foden Steam Lorry. We had this one come through about 4 years ago, and as far as we caould determine, this one isn't built to the published drawings, which represent the slightly larger Foden lorry in it's compound engine form. This one is a twin simple, and uses Stuart horizontal engine as it's power. The boiler is copper sliver soldered, and as with most of our models comes with a full 4 year hydraulic test and a fresh annual steam certificate. We haven't had chance to photograph this one again just yet, so the photos show it as it arrived with us a few years ago, before we removed the chunky gold lining attempt from the wheels and various other areas! Today she's in more or less the same condition, so the photos will give you the general idea! As soon as Christmas is over, if she's still here we will get a fresh set of pics done, and hopefully a little film of her running in the yard.
It is built to a nice standard, and the model has seen very little use, it was essentially new when we sold it the last time, and still feels like it hasn't been excessively run,..... so she's fresh and ready for trundling around your local village if you've got the nerve!
